Commission a film from a working unit.

Social impact, documentary, campaign, training and technical film, shot by crew who work on HETV drama and feature film, alongside people earning a credit.

What we make

What we make.

Kind of filmWhat it is for
Social impact filmA real subject, in front of an audience that can act on it. Made with the community it is about.
DocumentaryFollowing a subject as it happens, over time.
Campaign filmA single argument, cut for a channel and a deadline.
Case study filmOne project, one client or one person.
Event, recruitment and behind-the-scenesA conference or a launch; what it is like to work somewhere; unit stills alongside a production.
Training filmInstructional and procedural material, often a series of short modules.
Technical filmProduct, process and capability film for manufacturers, in the test room at Pinewood or on a unit.

How it runs

Scope, quote, shoot, deliver.

A written quote before anything is booked. To quote, we need what the film is for, where it will be seen, when you need it and where we would be shooting.

Rights

What you own at the end of it.

You own the finished film, on the licence agreed in writing before the shoot. Contributor consent is written down before anybody is filmed.

Host a cohort

Put a supervised cohort on your unit.

A production can host a supervised cohort on a live unit. Futures in Film CIC manages selection, preparation, confidentiality briefing, insurance, supervision, debrief, a follow-on production simulation and the impact report.

The production carries almost no operational burden. Any contribution is a community-benefit training investment, and it comes back with a transparent summary of what it was spent on.

The difference

Where the margin goes.

Futures in Film CIC is a community interest company with an asset lock, not a commercial production company. Commissioned work is a supporting service connected to training, simulation and social-impact delivery, and the margin funds training places.
