The 4,000, and why everything we run is 18 and over
Both things on this site are true at once, and the site should say why. The outreach figure is young people reached in somebody else’s context, not on a Futures in Film programme: the Futures Festival is Pinewood’s event, and the school and university outreach happened at the invitation of a school, a college or a university. In each case the host held the safeguarding duty and supervised its own young people; Futures in Film brought a working unit and answered questions. Its own programmes were 18 and over then and are now, because there is no designated safeguarding lead in post. That is the reason for the age rule, and it changes when a lead is appointed and trained.

A structured view of scale and delivery, not a claim that every figure is a unique beneficiary of Futures in Film CIC alone. Figures are for the year ending 28th January 2025, and the report they come from is filed at Companies House under company number 14621615.

Prospect research now runs before a conversation rather than after one, and it is increasingly automated. These are the things it checks, and where each one is.
| What is checked | Where it is |
|---|---|
| Legal name and number, spelled the same everywhere | FUTURES IN FILM C.I.C., company number 14621615. The same name and number appear in the footer of every page on this site. |
| Geography, named rather than “nationwide” | London, Buckinghamshire, Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Lancashire, Farnham, North Wales, Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Base: the Ken Adam Building, Pinewood Studios. |
| Grant record | Funder reporting has been provided to the Rank Foundation. Where a grantmaker publishes to the 360Giving standard, its awards are searchable at GrantNav; search on the company number rather than the name. |
| Safeguarding position | Published, not just held: programmes are 18 and over because there is no designated safeguarding lead in post, and the age rule changes when one is appointed and trained. The reasoning is set out above rather than buried in a policy. |
| Board and directors | Named on the team page, and on the public register at Companies House. |
| Social value framework | Answered against PPN 026 and the National TOMs, criterion by criterion. |
