Pinewood Studios
The Indie Film Hub is Pinewood's, not ours.
Pinewood Group opened the Indie Film Hub on 12 September 2025, in a ceremony attended by Ian Murray, then Minister for Creative Industries, Media and Arts. It is a set of production facilities for lower-budget films, hired directly from Pinewood.
Futures in Film delivers in it. The Buckinghamshire New University placement began there, with a day of one-to-one career sessions before the group moved on to the rental house.
What is in it
Two stages, and the rooms a production needs around them.
Pinewood lists the following. Sizes are as published.
Indie One
8,960 sq ft, 30 ft to the grid.
Indie Two
8,960 sq ft, 30 ft to the grid.
Workshops
From 1,000 to 12,000 sq ft.
Production offices
Fully equipped, with meeting rooms and conferencing.
Wardrobe, hair and make-up
Design offices, breakdown workshops, and make-up rooms from single position to six.

Who can use it
The eligibility changed once already.
At launch, Pinewood said the Hub was for films qualifying for the UK Independent Film Tax Credit. By November 2025 that exclusivity had been dropped, after the feature Anxious People shot there without qualifying.
Pinewood does not publish rates. Availability and cost come from their team.
What is not attached to it
There is no training programme on the Hub.
Pinewood publishes no education or new-entrant scheme alongside the Indie Film Hub. Its careers work sits separately, in Pinewood Futures Festival.
Futures in Film runs training on the same lot. If a production using the Hub needs supervised trainee positions, technical training or a social value commitment it can evidence, that is a conversation worth having.
