Report a concern

If something is wrong, tell us.

How somebody behaved, something unsafe on a site or a shoot, discrimination, how a decision was made, how money was handled. You do not need proof and you do not need to be the person it happened to.

If you or somebody else is in immediate danger, call 999.

Anonymously

You can leave your name out.

The form works with every identifying field blank. Without contact details we cannot ask a follow-up question or tell you what happened.

What happens next

What actually happens.

Futures in Film has no designated safeguarding lead in post and runs nothing with anybody under 18. This is what the route is today, described as it is rather than as it should be.

01

It reaches the directors

It goes to the directors of Futures in Film and is recorded the day it arrives.

02

You are acknowledged

If you left contact details, you are told it has arrived and who is looking at it.

03

It is looked into

Where an external duty applies, in safety, safeguarding or data, the relevant body is informed.

04

You are told what happened

What was found, what was done, and what changes as a result.

05

If it is about a director

Or if you would rather it did not come to us at all, use one of the independent routes below. They are not ours, they do not need our involvement, and nothing you have with us is affected.

One-to-one mentoring and arranged accommodation have a route to raise a concern that does not go through the person involved: this one, or any of the routes below.

Outside the organisation

You never have to come to us first.

Using an external route does not affect anything you have with us. For a concern about an adult at risk, the local authority adult safeguarding team is the route that does not depend on us at all.

The police

For anything criminal, including assault, harassment and threats. 999 in an emergency, 101 otherwise.

Any time

The local authority

For a safeguarding concern about an adult at risk, through the adult safeguarding team where it happened.

Any time

The Health and Safety Executive

For unsafe working practice on a site or a production.

Any time

The Information Commissioner’s Office

For how personal data has been handled. ico.org.uk.

Any time

The Regulator of Community Interest Companies

For how a CIC is run.

Any time

Your union

Bectu will support a member raising something with any employer.

If a member

How we come back to you

Where a concern reveals something we are legally required to report, we report it. Nobody is disadvantaged for raising something in good faith.
