The mentors
Listed by what each one can advise on.
Each mentor appears here once they have confirmed in writing how they wish to be described. Any mentor can ask to be removed at any point.
The boundary
Mentors are not commissioners.
They give notes and time. They do not decide what gets made.
- A mentor does not select projects or sit on a selection panel.
- A mentor does not take a credit, a fee or a share of your work.
- A mentor is not your agent or your producer.
- A mentor cannot promise a meeting, an introduction or an outcome.
- Conflicts are declared and the pairing is changed.
How the pairing works
You are asked what you need first.
Structure, character, format, research, the pitch, or what to do next. The pairing is made against that, and you can decline a mentor. The aim is agreed in writing at the start.
Mentoring inside the Lab is free to the person being mentored.
