AI by department · Camera and lensing
Very little of this touches the camera. Quite a lot of it touches your day.
If you are waiting for a tool that pulls focus or reads a light meter, stop waiting: nothing near production standard does either, and nothing in this field has timecode, genlock or lens metadata. The camera is the least disrupted part of the whole conversation. What has changed sits either side of the day — how a shot gets agreed in prep, and what post is permitted to do to your images afterwards, which now includes reframing, relighting, focus adjustment and face reshaping inside an application on a colourist’s desk.

Where this lives now
The camera material moved, and it is better where it is.
Everything the camera department actually needs — the three phases, what previs genuinely buys you, what post is now able to do to a plate, and the four questions to ask at prep rather than at the grade — now sits on one page with design, concept and look development, because it is the same conversation and it was being had twice.
