Uniting Communities: an interfaith film programme across the North West.
Mixed crews drawn from different faith communities take credited roles on the same film, with responsibility and a deadline.
The shape of it
Make together, show together, then keep going.
Make together
Crews are mixed by design. People are given a department, a call time and a job that somebody else’s work depends on.
Show together
Screenings hosted across the participating communities, each in somebody else’s building, with a conversation afterwards.
Keep going
Now in a third phase.
Who it is for
Faith communities and community organisations across the North West. 18 and over.
The phases
Three phases.
Participants take credited crew roles.
| Phase | What it did |
|---|---|
| First phase | Established the mixed-crew model and produced the first films |
| Second phase | Extended the programme to further communities across the North West and added hosted screenings |
| Third phase | Running now. Communities and film titles go on this page as each group agrees to be named. |
Participants who want to continue move onto the wider training routes.
Where it sits
Where it sits.
Alongside the Faith Inclusion Production Standard under Pillar 05, whose signature page is the Charter. Its films sit within the social impact strand.
