The Blackburn production hub
A partner, not the lead.
In September 2024 a UK Shared Prosperity Fund award established a film and television production hub in Blackburn. The University of Central Lancashire is the lead applicant. Pixeleyed Pictures, MR Helix and Futures in Film are named among the partners, and the money is correctly attributed to Pixeleyed Pictures rather than to the CIC.

Faith literacy on a unit
The operational questions productions actually ask, and what a production standard has to cover to be useful rather than decorative. Cross-faith, not single-faith.

What an independent unit on a working lot can do that a closed scheme cannot, and where it fits alongside the guilds and the levy-funded system.
Shooting on film, and who is left who can load it
Film stock demand is rising while the people and the machines that serve it are not being replaced. We have the rooms and we run the loop, which makes it a story we can show rather than describe.
