ISFO Membership Terms & Conditions
It is important that you read the following carefully before your sign up to our service,
This Agreement sets out the terms upon which membership of The International Student Film Organization Ltd is offered to members ("Members") . Membership is free but bound to the conditions below.
The Service is operated in the United Kingdom by The International Student Film Organization Ltd Productions Limited ("The International Student Film Organization Ltd" or "we"), a company incorporated in England and Wales under company number 07427192.
1. Application and Membership
1.1 You have to register as a member of The International Student Film Organization Ltd in order to be able to post to any of the The International Student Film Organization Ltd networks and in order to receive the edited digests. Full membership also gives you access to the The International Student Film Organization Ltd website services.
1.2 Members have to complete the registration details as accurately as possible. You should notify us of any changes to your personal details. We would prefer it if you used your own identity rather than hide it, but we know that we can do nothing about that. If however, we become aware of people not using their true identity we reserve the right to terminate their membership with immediate effect.
2. Fees and Renewals
2.1 The site is free to use but the ISFO maybe decide at any point to charge for the service. We will notify you 10 days in advance if that happens and you have the right to cancel you service with us.
3. Content of Postings
3.1 You may not post anything on The International Student Film Organization Ltd that contains any offensive language or anything which is considered by us to be obscene, threatening, harassing or defamatory or otherwise unlawful.
3.2 In particular, don’t use The International Student Film Organization Ltd for any illegal or unlawful purpose including posting anything that is fraudulent, inaccurate, incomplete, false or misleading. You must not impersonate any person, group company or entity nor must you disguise the origin of any message that you send. In the event that The International Student Film Organization Ltd are made aware of any such posting your membership will be terminated with immediate effect.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
4.1 You acknowledge that The International Student Film Organization Ltd owns all the intellectual property rights to the Website and that any reproduction, distribution or publication of any content is prohibited without the express written consent of The International Student Film Organization Ltd. In order to get our consent you should email info@futureinfilm.com
4.2 By sending in a posting to The International Student Film Organization Ltd, you are agreeing to allow us to publish and reproduce its contents in whatever way we choose In legal terms this means that you are granting us a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free licence to publish, modify and reproduce any posting which you send us.
5. The International Student Film Organization Ltd’s Commitment
5.1 The International Student Film Organization Ltd will use all reasonable efforts to maintain the Website in a fully operational duration the term of your membership but we cannot guarantee continued or uninterrupted operation of the Service or that it will be always be error free.
5.2 The International Student Film Organization Ltd will provide all full members with access to the archive of all previous newsletters, contracts and all the other information which The International Student Film Organization Ltd makes available to its members in the future.
5.3 The International Student Film Organization Ltd will try to ensure that bulletins are sent out every fortnight but as we say, there are no guarantees.
6. Liability and Indemnity
6.1 The International Student Film Organization Ltd cannot accept any liability for any posting and you acknowledge that The International Student Film Organization Ltd cannot be liable. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of any of the postings that appear on The International Student Film Organization Ltd. It is up to you to check out people and companies you are put in touch with through The International Student Film Organization Ltd with utmost care. Ask for references, check company track records. You use The International Student Film Organization Ltd at your own risk, so be smart and stay safe.
6.2 The International Student Film Organization Ltd is operated on an ‘as is’ basis without warranties of any kind either express or implied. Neither The International Student Film Organization Ltd nor anyone else involved in creating, producing or delivering The International Student Film Organization Ltd should be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of the use of the service or inability to use the service in breach of any warranty. Nothing in these Terms limits The International Student Film Organization Ltd’s liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or any other liability which may not by law be excluded.
6.3 You are responsible for the content posted by you (or any person accessing your account) and you agree to indemnify The International Student Film Organization Ltd in respect of any losses, expenses, damages and costs, including any legal fees resulting from: (1) any breach by you of these terms, (2) any infringement of copyright or intellectual property rights in material posted by you, (3) any other wrongful use by any member of the Service.
7. Termination
7.1 We reserve the right to terminate (or to suspend, restrict, or attach conditions to your membership and access to the Website) if you are in breach of these Terms or otherwise. The International Student Film Organization Ltd may terminate any membership entirely at its own discretion. We reserve the right to deny access and membership to any member for any reason which we consider appropriate.
7.2 In the event of termination (or suspension or restriction) for being in breach of these Terms, no refunds will be payable.
8. Personal Information
8.1 We will respect the privacy of all your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You should be aware that we do reserve the right to use your email address for the purposes of what we in our absolute discretion consider to be marketing which is relevant to Members. In subscribing for the service you expressly consent to your email address being included in the The International Student Film Organization Ltd email list. If at any time you object to the use of your email address in this way you should contact us on info@futureinfilm.com stating the address you want to be removed.
9. General Matters
9.1 The International Student Film Organization Ltd will immediately terminate your membership if we believe that you are involved in any way in transmitting junk email, spam, unsolicited email in any form including bulk email, commercial or otherwise either through the The International Student Film Organization Ltd Service or to any member of The International Student Film Organization Ltd.
9.2 You should not engage in harvesting or otherwise collecting information including email addresses about other members.
9.3 Each user agrees to discontinue any communication with any member of the Service if that person so requests. In other words, it is unacceptable behaviour for any member to harass another member.
9.4 The International Student Film Organization Ltd is committed to equal opportunities for all Members, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, age or religion. We will not tolerate any form of abusive language in postings or in emails sent to other Members, in particular when it could be considered to work against our commitment to equality.
9.5 The International Student Film Organization Ltd can also amend or modify these Terms at any time by notifying members either by email or on the home page at www.futureinfilm.com. If any of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the terms shall continue in full force and effect.
9.6 You cannot assign your membership without our agreement.
9.7 In the event that the Website displays or advertises promotions, services or products which are offered by other parties or other individual members and you take advantage of such offers then your contractual relationship is with that third party.
9.8 These terms and your use of the Website and the Service are governed by English Law and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
